Logos & Pictures

To create a great design FOR you - we need a great image FROM you.

Please be aware that the size and clarity of the digital file you send us is the most important factor in determining how the image will look on the finished product. We cannot "magically" turn a small, pixelated, blurry, image into a good one.

For best results:

  • The image should be scanned at a resolution of at least 150 DPI (Dots per inch) or larger. Lower resolutions may work just fine so email the best image you have to me and I will check it out.
  • We can make a large image smaller and retain the quality but we cannot make a small image larger without loosing a great deal of the quality. In this case, bigger is better.
  • The preferred formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG, PDF, PSD (Photoshop). Generally most images in the GIF format are not of high enough quality to use.

If the image you want us to use is only available on your web site, send me the link in an email and I will check it out to see if I can use it.

For those of you unfamiliar with digital files - or if the digital images you have do not meet our suggested minimum quality, just send me whatever you have - regardless of resolution or format and I'll see if we can use it. 

My grandmother used to say...."You can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear". The modern day equivalent is "Garbage in - garbage out." Either way the message is the same for our purposes - the only way we can create a great product for you is if we get a great image from you.



Will I get to see a sample?
You bet. We  will ask if you want a sample before you complete the order. Samples are almost always emailed the first business day after an order is submitted. (We send the sample at the end of the day. Keep in mind that we are in California so you might get the sample later than expected, depending on your time zone.) A sample and one set of revisions are free of charge. We reserve the right to charge a $10 artwork charge for multiple design revision requests. (Thankfully, almost all our customers think we get it perfectly the first time.)

If you request a solid BLACK (or dark) background, there will be an additional $1.00 per bag tag charge.

How much does it cost to add a logo or Team Photo?
There is NO extra charge for us to use your photo or logo on your product, but we use your photo/logo "as is" and will do only very minor clean up and cropping (if necessary). Additional work MAY be charged at $10.00 per 15 minute increments (but we can almost always get it the way you want within 15 minutes). If your image requires additional work, I will let you know before I start.

If I don't know the information, can I personalize an item on my end?
We suggest you let us do the personalizing since the process we use (sublimation) will never streak, flake, peel or fade. However, many of our items (especially bag tags) can be personalized by the recipient.

To personalize our premium FRP plastic or Aluminum bag tags:

  • Make sure surface is clean 
  • Use a new, BLACK, felt tip permanent marker, such as a SHARPIE
  • Start at the top and print the info. The printing may be light but that is normal. Careful not totouch it when wet.
  • Let dry at least 5 minutes
  • Trace over the lettering a second time. Let dry 5 minutes. Repeat as necessary.
  • The reson it takes multiple attempts is that the surface you are writing in os smooth so the ink will not be absorbed into the surface, so multiple layers of ink may be needed as a base.
  • If you make a mistake, you can remove the ink by wiping with ACETONE (nail polish remover). This must be done before the ink drys. 
  • For bag Tags -  any size/material....If you are unhappy with your "personalization", please contact us via email. We will ask you to return the item to us along with the personalization you want on it. For a $5.95 charge, we will make a new bag tag (same design), personalize it the way you request using the sublimation process, and mail it back to you.


Can you add both a logo AND a team photo to our gift?
I will sure try. It depends on the amount of info given to us as well as the product you ordered.

Can I add my logo or photo to one of your stock designs?
I can usually add a logo to any of our stock designs - no problem. I may be able to include a team photo. It depends on the product and the amount of information you requested added to your design. Just let me know what you want and I will do my best to accommodate.

I’m in a hurry. Does it take any longer to add a logo (or photo) to my products?
The CoachGifts team will always do everything we can to get your order delivered before you need it. If you are in a hurry, let us know your deadline and my team and I will do what it takes to meet it.

Will you keep my logo "on file" in case I want it added to future orders?
You bet we will. Your Photo and /or Logo will be kept on file so we can add it to a future order when requested to do so.
